Past Events

Koala habitat tree identification workshops

The NSW Koala Strategy engaged Earthscapes to deliver 12 hands-on workshops across the Northern River region to help communities make the most of the North Coast Koala Habitat Trees Field Key. The workshops reached bush regenerators, landholders, Friends of the Koala volunteers, leaf collectors, and other community members. Two sessions were specifically tailored for First Nations rangers.

Learning through Drawing Eucalypt workshops

The Koala Conversations (a two-week series of community events, workshops, and field days held in May 2024 across the Northern Rivers of NSW to support koala conservation) engaged Jo to run 2 workshops on learning about Koala Food Tree identification through botanical drawing. Everyone was welcome – no drawing experience needed. The participants used pencil, pen and watercolours to take a close look at the key features of the Eucalypt species that Koalas love.
